Simon Cruz
Simón Cruz, nascut a Guadalajara, Jalisco, el 1978, és un artista mexicà reconegut per fusionar l'art figuratiu amb l'abstracció creativa, oferint una finestra oberta a la creativitat estètica del que és quotidià.
Amb més de 100 exposicions dins i fora de Mèxic, Cruz ha col·laborat amb marques de luxe i ha participat en esdeveniments internacionals com VM World, on va combinar art i tecnologia, i en exhibicions a Broadway, Nova York, juntament amb artistes urbans de renom com Kaws i Mr. Brainwash.
Una de les seves obres més destacades és l'escultura pública de gran format titulada “El Rancho”, ubicada a prop del famós Hotel Riu a Guadalajara, Jalisco.
La seva producció artística inclou pintura, escultura i ceràmica, caracteritzant-se per pinzellades enèrgiques i mirades inquietants que reflecteixen històries i comportaments humans.
Cruz es considera hereu de tradicions que inclouen Jean-Michel Basquiat, Pablo Picasso, Paul Klee i moviments d'avantguarda urbana com el grafit i el hip hop, encara que el seu estil és únic i distintiu.
